Studio works best on desktop or tablet. On narrow phone screens, some timeline and editing controls may be difficult to use.
First steps in Studio
  1. In the top bar, use Import audio or Record. Turn off “Make editable notes” beside Import audio if you want original audio only. Double-click a note clip in the library to edit.
  2. If something looks wrong: open /api/v1/health in a new tab.
  3. Windows first run (recommended)
Skip this section if uploads and playback already work.
In the repo root, run setup once:
    beginner_setup.bat
    Then start Studio/API with:
    beginner_launch.bat
Advanced fallback: python scripts/beginner_preflight.py then python scripts/beginner_launch.py Longer setup doc: docs/BEGINNER_FIRST_RUN_CHECKLIST.md (also summarized in More help).
